Filming Blog: We begin shooting!

Finally, the day came! My partner and I got together after school today and began the process of recording. We went over to my house and immediately started filming. I was really happy that I could actually get things started. It was also really cool to see the way the movie looked on tape. In order to post them to our website and social media pages, I had my sister take a couple of images of me and Mario in action. I also showed some of the clips to some of my family members that we shot so that we could get some input from them. Today, we weren't able to film all our scenes. We wanted to make sure we had a good look at every scene and that made us run out of time. I'm happy we did that because I know our film's potential and I want it to be amazing. My partner and I are working as fast as possible to work out a date to finish filming. For us it is very important to finish shooting quickly so that we can get started with the editing process. We still have some time, I realize, but I don't want to be left behind. I believe we're on the right path and we're going to succeed. From our storyboard to the final product on tape, not many changes occurred. I was shocked because we used to make a lot of adjustments to our storyboard in my other projects. I'm happy that happened because I always felt that the only way we could make our short film was what we had in our storyboard. In general, I feel like today has been a success. We had a lot of scenes shot and a lot of photographs of the operation taken. I'm very curious about what will come next.
